As well as taking over bass duties, I’m also foolishly the one to sort out their web and social media presence. So if you would like to help us in our rise to stardom, please check out the following sites:

The postman delivered a simply wonderful package to me this morning – an Apogee Duet for the small home recording studio I’m setting up.

For those not familiar, it is a dual channel Audio Interface for sound recording and playback. It’s designed specifically for Mac users, connects via Firewire 400 and fully integrates itself within OSX.

It had great reviews, but nothing could have prepared me for even just the audio playback quality – its fantastic – the clarity and detail are so much better than the MacBook Pro built-in audio socket.

FYI, am also only using some cheap Sony MDR-V150 headphones with it at the moment, so can’t wait to get some high-spec quality headphones to go with it.

It does however cost £350, which is pretty reasonable for a good quality dual channel Audio Interface for recording. But if planning just to use for audio playback, is an expensive option.

But oh the quality!!!!

So if you’re a Mac user, really love music and have some spare cash lying around – you owe it to yourself to get one.
